In the near future, your wardrobe might include garments and sneakers crafted from a unique non-woven fabric known as two-component microfiber. This material is not only aesthetically pleasing and comfortable but also boasts durability, breathability, and resistance to dust mites. Recently, the two-component ultra-fine fiber spunbond spunlace nonwovens process and equipment project, jointly developed by Jiangxi Ji’an Sanjiang Microfiber Nonwoven Co., Ltd. and Dalian Hualun Chemical Fiber Engineering Co., Ltd., successfully passed the expert panel evaluation organized by the China Textile Industry Association. The expert group deemed the project a remarkable achievement in integrating process, technology, and equipment innovation. It combines hollow orange petal-shaped polyester PET/nylon PA6 (16-valve) composite spinning direct-forming technology, double suction multi-segment pendulum forming technology, hydroentangled reinforcement, and open fiber finishing technology, featuring a streamlined process flow. After fiber opening, the single fibers achieve ultra-fineness (up to 0.075D), resulting in products with high tensile strength, balanced vertical and horizontal strength ratios, advanced technology, and stable spinning performance. This innovation fills a gap in China's non-woven fabric market and places the technology and products at an international leading level. The experts unanimously agreed that the project's success enhances China’s technical capabilities in non-woven fabrics and equipment, promoting structural adjustments in textile products while demonstrating the importance of technological progress and product upgrades. After nearly two years of research under the guidance of Guo Hexin, honorary chairman of the China Industrial Textiles Industry Association Spinning and Adhesive Branch, the team overcame numerous technological challenges and completed the installation and commissioning of the equipment. All objectives were achieved, with an annual production capacity reaching 3,000 tons. It is worth noting that following the completion of the first phase of the project, both Jiangxi Ji’an Sanjiang Microfiber Nonwoven Co., Ltd. and Dalian Hualun Chemical Fiber Engineering Co., Ltd. plan to invest an additional 650 million yuan over the next three years to construct eight production lines, boosting the annual production capacity to 30,000 tons and generating projected sales revenue of 1.5 billion yuan. Guo Hexin shared with reporters that casual wear and sports shoes made from this non-woven fabric are already available and have received positive feedback. This breakthrough represents a significant step forward for China's textile industry, showcasing the potential of innovative materials to redefine comfort and functionality in everyday items.
